You do have a ground problem. Grounds for the headlights and turn lights are mounted on the radiator core support. But you head lights are the problem. they have lost their ground and are finding it threw the turn lights. That's why the turn lights come on.

Sounds like you have grounding fault on your blinker light. Take it apart and see if you can trace the wires that goes the lamp holder and make sure they are properly connected.

Good luck

SOURCE: left blinker light stays on solid when headlights are on

I have had this happen and it is rare, but I have had a filiment burn out in a two filment buld and short to the other filiment. It does happen and I think this might be your problem, the only way to find it is a visual inspection of each bulb. I am sure many people will think this is crazy, but I have had the exact same problem, I had the schematics, tested the circuits, etc. and them by accident found a stop/blinker 1157 bulb that had done this exact thing. I hope this helps you, check the bulbs in your headlights also.

After replacing turn signal fuse under dashboard @ steering column, get a buzzing sound from under the dashboard. It goes off when the right or left turn signal is engaged in the on position. How do we get rid of this buzz sound?

Usually a fast turn signal means that there is a light out. You should probably check all of your lights, including back-up lights, and turn signals. If there is one out then replacing the burnt out bulb should fix the problem.

1998 xle v6 camry - signal lights freezes at times. Right or left or emergency, they freezes at times. The signal light freezes, does not blink, just stays on. So I have to do the signal again. Usually it...

Sorry but it took me a lot of time before having it fixed. Well, I think the problem started with the turn signal switch. It used to make a noise. Something like "ZZZZZZTT" whether you're turning right or left. So I had them replaced for CN$300, including the labor. The actual problem is the "blinker". It's been damaged. To replace it will cost you about CN$100 just for the part. You can replace it by yourself.
I am not really a mechanic but it looks like what happened was the turn signal switch has damaged the blinker since it was not sending the right signal to it everytime it is activated.... Is it?
