P1524 p1 IS DODGE OEM FACTORy CODE (means theirs)
Code: P1524 Definition: OIL PRESSURE OUT OF RANGE - CAMSHAFT ADVANCE/RETARD DISABLED ( this is done to self protect valves) means OFF LINE.
Description: The engine oil pressure never reaches the calibrated specification to allow the Variable Valve Timing (VVT) activation. Cause:

• ENGINE OIL LEVEL LOW OR WRONG OIL USED.
• ENGINE OIL AERATED OR CONTAMINATED LIKE TAR
• INCORRECT ENGINE OIL FILTER
• INSUFFICIENT OIL PRESSURE DUE TO A MECHANICAL FAILURE IN THE OILING SYSTEM (OR BEARINGS SHOT)
• ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR BAD.
• POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) super rare.

Check camshaft position sensor exhaust bank 1.
camshaft position actuator solenoid-exhaust bank 1
camshaft position actuator solenoid ,intake bank 1. camshaft position sensor intake bank 1.

Bank 1 is usually where the number 1 cylinder is located, or left side depending on manufacturer....

and if the throttle by wire bs fails it goes to limphome mode
and sucks more fuel.
you do know how TBW works right>? (our 2010 dont have this)

2 throttle pots (driver demand) pots or TPS sensors.
and 2 in the TB, throttle body
and if any of the 4 , do not agree, it barfs, that is goes to limp mode.

the book has extensive test to do , to find true cause.

i looked in my fsm and one online and there is no P1524
are you sure that is correct number and letter?

i can not find that code, why is that, and google has great difficulty too, why is that? very odd that, 2005 to 2010 is the generation.

Code 1299 means the computer got a signal from the engine coolant temp sensor that the engine has overheated.

If you mean P2098 read on, Po 2098 is not a vaild code, all codes for OBD2 have one letter (P, B, etc.) and four numbers 0-9.

Hi...Code P1281 means the engine is staying cold too long - check your thermostat. It is possible your thermostat is stuck in the open position.
