SOURCE: 2003 BMW CI Convertable Radio/CD Problem

Had the same problem with my '03 330xi. Navigation worked fine but radio and CD did not work at all. I opened the fuse box located in the glove compartment to check the three fuses associated with the navigation system and radio. #7, #39, and #41. All three fuses were intact so I put them back in. I then put the key into the ignition, turned it to position 2 and miraculously the radio came to life. I guess it acted as some type of reset?

SOURCE: bmw 330 ci warning lights going NUTS

You have to check the alternator's output while there is a load placed on it. Take it to a auto parts store the have it load tested. You may be able to determine if there is a problem by starting the car and turning on all of your accessories. Removing the battery cables not allowing them to touch the vehicle, if the alternator output is where it should be, the car should remain running. If thats fine, havbe the battery load tested to be sure its accepting the charge it being given by the alternator.

it is a possibility that it is bad or the ignition switch. cause a bad ignition switch will not send voltage for starter to start. an ignition switch handles a bout 50% of all voltage needs. the safety switch does it start in nuetral, or any other gear! if it starts in any other gear then it is out of adjustment. or needs replaced. first check and see if you have voltage from battery to starter, if so, check small ignition wire at starter. either wire could be bad also.

Doesn't have a fuse for power seats . Use's a circuit breaker , 25 amp circuit breaker PWR SEAT located in rear fuse box . This rear fuse box is under the back seat . Did you look under the seat to see if something is blocking the seat tracks ? Does the vehicle have memory seats ?

2000 Ford excursion v10. New battery but will only start with a jump sometimes. Gauges go "crazy" and light come on. Radio and AC starts to go out. Shut off while driving down road.

Sounds like a bad connection somewhere.
When you get it started, is the alternator charging the battery ?
Do you have 12 or 13 volts at the starter when it will not crank without a jump ?

I have a bmw 330 ci, i forgot to turn the head lights off, 2 hrs later the lights were on and i could not crank and did not hear no sounds. i have good power, all dash and head lamps work, will not start

the battery is most likely too low to start the engine as the starter motor needs a lot more power than the lights to operate, you will need to charge the battery.......hope this helps......cheers.

My 2004 Lexus RX 330 has 105,000 miles and has recently not started twice. I had the battery jumped and it cranked right up so I charged the battery to a full charge, The next day, the car cranked right up...

Sounds more like the Alternator or Voltage regulator is not charging the battery correctly. Have the Alternator checked. If you remove it and take it to Auto Zone or Advance Auto they should be able to test it for you.

Mk4 head unit not working

Hello There.

Thats an interesting one. My first suggestion would be to look at the DVD navigation unit in the trunk, does it have any sign of life, i.e will it eject the map dvd is there a blinking redlight etc, if there is nothing then thats most likely your problem if there life in it then I would suggest having a closer look at all the connections in the trunk. You need to remove the side cover in the trunk and check the connections.
If the above doesn't help, my guess would be your head unit has the fault.
The cheapest way to get this repaired is by process of elimination. If you think the DVD unit in the trunk is faulty I would buy one from ebay if you find this doesn't solve your problem you can always resell it on ebay without losing money and the same with your head unit.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

If my answer has helped you, please rate me on Fixya.

Many Thanks.
