2 things could be happening. One, the maf, or map sensore is bad. If there is a check engine light on, have it checked out. Second, it could be the throtle position sensor. Or just crappy gas. Rule the gas out first before changeing sensores.

It can be issue with low fuel pressure,the fuel pump is getting old both needs to be checked.Also get the IAC valve checked.

if you are drawing white smoke then its either the inlet manifold gasket failed or a head gasket ,best suggestion i can make is to trade it in quick before you spend lots of cash .this coil pack and additive will not work its drawing water into the pistons from somewhere and requires a complete strip down of the top assembly to cure it ,no amount of wonder cures will help here

when the rough idle was happening and the stalling was going on did you then put in sparkplugs and it got rough? let me know give me the year and make and we can fix that ill keep my eye on this post , if you respond to me and if you respond to some one else then let them help you

check to see if the cat is clogged if it is this will cause this to happen.

Sometimes a rough idle like that is a fuel filter. As you've already done the plugs and wires the fuel filter would be my next bet.

Those Fords Have Problems With The IAC(Idle Air Control Valve) On Top Of Intake By Throttle Body. It Might Even Be Making Some Weird Noises? If Not Check Timing, And Fuel Preasure.....Check For Vacumme Leaks. Good Luck
