My S10 blazer lacks power, bogs under acceleration, recently truck would not start, took it to a garage and they replaced the injections module( "spider injection module, complete unit"), truck still lacks power and bogs under acceleration. took it back to the garage and they hooked up the scan tool once again, did a bunch of tests, said the fuel pump is on the low side of the spec. I replaced fuel pump and fuel filter and the truck still lacks power, the garage said the idle air control mod, throttle control sensor and the mass air flow sensor were all in spec. I already did a complete tune up too, checked compression, it was in spec. When i accelerate kinda hard it sounds like it back fires a little

Sounds to me like a bad fuel pressure regulator. I would replace that and see what happens, if that fails you may have contaminated fuel

Cuts off when give it gas

There could be other problems than this but if an engine dies or bogs when excelerated then it is a lack of fuel. This is either from an accelerator pump in need of adjustment or clogged fuel injectors ( which with your truck is the problem). with fuel injection as seen on nwer cars and trucks the Throttle positing sender (TPS) could be bad or in need of adjustment.

2002 s10 zr2 runs rough bogs down when you

First check for any cracked pipes leading into the intake manifold If all OK (with no codes showing it probably is OK) try checking the fuel pressure regulator. If you smell fuel from the pressure regulator vacuum side arm (when the vacuum line has been disconnected) it needs to be replaced.

Have replaced fuel pump, relay & fuel filter.

have you checked to see if you have a bad came or lifter. that would make it backfire. if it kind of spits fuel it maybe cam. if it throws fire than it could be timing like a bad chain.

S10 blazer lacks power, bogs under acceleration

Check your coil output, buy a cheep spark tester. Pull of a spark plug wire and plug in the tester(ground the other end), set it to bridge a gap for 30,000 volts.Have someone start it and make sure the spark will jump the gap on the tester.Danger-Very high voltage! It will light you up if your touching the tester while the car is running! You'll be able to see a bright blue spark(and hear it as well) if your coil is good.If it's a yellow thin spark it's probably the coil.
If you have good spark, check the fuel filter and fuel pressure at the fuel rail.
Back firing could be timing, cam position or crank position sensor.Worst case scenario, timing chain or belt.

Hello, I have a 97 blazer and had replaced the fuel pump about 3 weeks ago. while i was driving last week the truck just died, with no hesitation or warning. now when i go to start she just cranks and...

try checking the fuel injection module out, ( "spider injection module"). My 2000 blazer did the same thing, fouled out the plugs and all, i hooked the fuel pressure gauge up and had good fuel pressure, just no start. I took it to the shop and they found the injection module to be the culprit. you'll need to replace the plugs if it was the problem since you cranked and cranked it over.

I Have a 2002 blazer that starts but motor dies, surges when accelerating

If this engine is a VORTEC then you may have a problem with the internal fuel system. Under the top plenum there is a fuel reg and poppet valves that inject fuel into the cylinders. Sometimes the tubes that run fuel from the reg to the valves can leak and cause your problem. This cannot be found with pressure check because this occurrs after the reg. PS fuel mileage will go down. Let me know if this helps.Moe
