4bc2 jeep consume large amount of diesel what is problem

with:
no country stated! wow.... now that is a CHALLENGE !

its a diesel. large. over 4k lbs, is large here, by laws.
its used on NPR large trucks, this is not a truck forum here.

we dont have this engine here, I think,... but id have to drive to ISUZU and ask them and buy the book.


the 4BE1 is a 3.6L direct injection engine. It replaced the 4BC2 in Isuzu NPR's from 1987- non turbo, VE rotary injection pump or Zexel/Diesel Kiki A-type injection pump. Bore and stroke are both 105 mm. Power ratings in the last versions (NKR300)are 74 kW (100 SAE HP) at 3,500 rpm and 242 Nm at 2000 rpm.

for last 25 years,(usa opted only on a usa forum)
is this gas engine, 4cyl or the v6 or diesel.
the large 2 hoses on the rad, the one that gets hot first
is the stat hose.
my guess car is the MK49

2.0 L World I4 (gasoline)
2.0 L VW I4 (turbo diesel)
2.2 L OM651 I4 (turbo diesel)
2.4 L World I4 (gasoline)
3.7L V6.

e 4BC2 is a 3.3 L direct injection diesel (otherwise the same as the 4BC1) sold in the Isuzu ELF and NPR trucks from 1982 to 1987

U can measure the amps drained with amp meater.Anything exceding small amounts (0.05!?)must point shortcircuited wires may not blew the fuses,just increase the consume,radio muted on,other consumers (trunk light ,lighter,door danger lamps and so on,etc)Must track the problem before body control module.Many alarms drain large amounts of energy (2-3 days get a older battery out).A back up wire to radio also drain power,blinking leds and others.

Try changing the Air Filter and Diesel Filter, Also add diesel injector cleaner into the diesel filter housing and the remains to the tank.

WHAT SHOULD WE DO IF 4BC2 Engine is OVERHEATING?

How much is a "large amount"? And how long has it been since your last oil change? It is normal for a diesel engine to have fuel in the crankcase due to the high compression ratio. I believe if there is less than a liter (quart) after 4,000 miles then you have nothing to worry about. If it is more then I would suggest you have it inspected for leaking injectors.
