I would suggest you spice the wires back to stock harness by male and female connections and tape over them with black tape then get a stereo install kit that includes a wiring harness ( cost about $20 maybe or less) for the year of truck you have... it will plug right to your stock harness ...never just cut stock stereo wires from stock plug it will be more of a headache than you think trust me I've installed all my own stereo system been there done that... good luck

SOURCE: 2007 gmc sierra 2500 IAT sensor

Well, the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor is located on the air intake duct between the filter and the throttle body (Assuming you have the 6L motor). The wires are easily visible at the plug that connects the sensor to the wiring harness. That's the easiest place to access them.

Speedometer on my 95 gmc sierra 4.3l v6 is registering right at 4 mph higher that what I'm actually going help please.

If you have recently changed from stock wheels and tires to aftermarket, the problem could be as simple as your wheels turning more revolutions per mile due to a tire height change. That would cause the speedometer to register high.

Ive replaced a stock spindle with a drop spindle on my 95 gmc sierra and i can't seem to get the rotor on the spindle far enough to put the spindle castle nut on?

just remove the spindle as it slows the speed of your engine thus making it to consume a lot of fuel over a short distance

Installing an aftermarket stereo, spliced the wires and have everything connected including the remote wire to the factory amp wire but still no sound.

There is no remote wire on these newer trucks....03 and up....u have to buy the harness....although i didnt....i have an 03 gmc sierra and just pulled the schematic and matched the wires. And there is no programming to do on an aftermarket stereo.....I work for GMC and we cant program aftermarket stereos......if u buy the right harness ...and its over $100 then everything should work just fine.....and this does not disarm ur alarm system either....mine still works fine....hope this helps

Trying to figure out if i really need a special wiring harness for my 2005 gmc sierra 1500 i just got a new kenwood stereo to replace the factory one and have been told that i have to have a special...

HI there... It would be a wise idea to get the special wiring harness for you aftermarket radio. There are several reasons for this. 1 is that it will make your installation a lot easier because it will plug right in to the factory plug and all you have to do is wire the radio to the wires on the new plug.
2) the newer vehicles have the radios wired for lights when you turn your headlights on. aftermarket radios don't always have that. also your stock radio probably stays on when you turn your ignition off and goes off when you open a door. the aftermarket radio is not set up for this and could cause electrical problems if not hooked up. to avoid any nasty electrical headaches I would advise getting that special plug. Hope this helps you out
