Sound lik e aaproblem with Torque Converter, check engine light come on there? I suggest scanned the PCM in order to know fault codes stored there. We have the repair manual, send us details for additional questions.
Hello, this code is for the accel pedal sensors. this is usually a problem with the accel pedal and requires it to be replaced. in a few cases it can also be a wiring or connector problem
You can't bypass it but you can disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect it to reset everything. If the problem is intermittent, the electronic throttle control light may not come back on right away. If the problem is still there you will have to take it in for service. The pedal has two redundant sensors that are constantly compared to each other (to avoid a runaway) by the PCM. If the is a problem, the light comes on and you have a little better than idle to limp it home or to the dealer. I hope this helps.
Had the same problem with check engine light coming on, loss of power, missing always starting to accel and in speeds between 10-30 mph, little smoke coming out of exhaust. Took it to the shop come to find out the catylic converter had been rusted out due to wear and tear or age. Spent 200.00 dollars since I knew the guy to replace it and now the car runs great.
This is a Direct result of a Bad Alternator. You can Run on what is left in the Battery for a Little while and if it sits for a While the Battery will retain enough Power to Start. You may need a New Battery in Addition.
