What transmission do I have it has a code "V" on the sticker?

Pretend you want to buy one from a Ford Garage. They will tell you the part number/identity from the VIN number and then pop around to your local scrap yard for a good used one.

It should be on the engine and the transmission

Look at the RPO code sticker , driver door jamb , glove box , center console etc...

Ford has numerous transmissions, there may be a code on the sticker of the door.

On the block near the transmission. if it is part you are looking for, find the sticker inside the glove compartment it has all the coded you will ever need, however inside the hood should be a sticker with engine information. last but not least the VIN will also provide information needed but you will have to decode it.

You need to locate the RPO (regular productiin option) sticker it has a list or 3 didget aplhanumeric codes on it. One code is for the tranny and it should be the only code starting with "M". Transmission codes on a 93307 c1500 4.3 2wd range from M01-M99 and MA1-MY1. You can eather google the code once you have it or send it to me and i can help you find it. The sticker is going to be in driver door jam, glovebox, or under the hood.

What does the dash indicator say and does the stick have an od button on it? there is only 1 3 speed for the 460 and only 1 4speed for the 460

There should be a sticker on the underside of your hood which lists transmission, axle(s), paint code, and so on. It may need a little cleaning to be readable.

There should be a Service parts Identification sticker in the glove box, the trany code should start with an "M" and any parts supplier should be able to tell you what transmission the code is for
