Remove two bolts holding caliper on and pull up as hard as you can on the caliper. Wiggling back and forth at the same time helps.

SOURCE: 2004 dodge ram 1500 rear brake light out how to replace?

Open up the tail gate, you will see two torque screws on the inside beside the tail lights. take these out, this will free up the housing and you can change it from there.

My 2004 Dodge truck 4.7L over heats when I pull my trailer. I replaced the thermostat and the water pump. What do you suggest. Should I replace the rad cap? Trailer weight is 1500lbs.

Seeing as it seems you do not have any overheating problem other than when you are towing I believe that you need to make sure that when towing you do not have the transmission in overdrive unless going downhill. This is the #1 reason for transmissions failure while towing. Trans overheat = engine overheat
Hope this helps.

I have a 6 cilinders 3.6l dodge engine ,need to know if transmission work for a 4.6 v8 engine

there is no 3.6 or 4.7 litre for a 2004 dodge or any other dodge. Secondly the transmission for a 3.7 litre uses a 42rle and the 4.7 litre uses a 545rfe which has more torque you would have to change the engine also and reprogram

Put wrong fluid in power steering of Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. How to flush and refill? 2004 Ram 1500 4.7liter engine V8 Quadcab 4X4.

They make a machine to do this, but it is too expensive to buy for just one use. The best thing to do it to take off the power steering lines where the connect to the steering rack. Then start the truck and it will pump out the fluid in the reservoir. Feel free to keep adding fresh fluid to it while its running just to ensure all is out. Then, to get the fluid out of the steering box, connect the lines back up, fill the reservoir, and with the vehicle running, crank the steering wheel back and forth from lock to lock. This will take the fluid from the rack and eventually bring it back to the reservoir. You must then again disconnect the lines and flush it out of the reservoir. You may want to repeat this several times, it may take a long time, but will be cheaper than replacing the steering rack, box, pump, and lines. Good luck, and have fun. :-P

I have been told that you can not put any engine in the 2004 Dodge Ram 1500, expect the stock engine. Is this true? The cost I was quoted to replace the engine was $5000.00, for a rebuilt engine to be put...

You can replaced it with another enigne but stock. The 2005 Ram 1500 engine will fit right in. If you are trying to get a totally different manufacture engine then you will need to make sure that the mounting bolts, tranny and everything else lines up. Technically speaking, you can put any engine the is rear wheel drive in your vehicle. You might just have to move the munting brackets, replace the tranny, open up the fender wells things like that. But the 2005 1500 will fit directly into your vehicle
