I had the same issue, reason Of the vacuum pump to work continuously is either a leak in the vacuum pipes btween the pump and master cylinder or "which was my case", the vacuum switch or sensor between the master cylinder and vacuum pipe is not functioning properly. Replaced and everything works fine.

Cold air blows out when heat on.. what could it be wrong

A few things But in most likely to least likely causes order.
1. When you switch the temperature control on your dash to hot depending on the car it uses a vacuum to open the valve at the hot water inlet to the heater core or a rod and cable instead of vacuum. This lets hot water into the core and your fan blows through the core which is hot and provides warm air.
The vacuum hose could be off or broken.(you should hear a small hiss) under the dash.
The valve could be stuck shut.
The vacuum actuator diaphragm could be be broken or stuck.
Hope this helps. Mike

Why does 2000 s40 volvo turbo runs hot and the fan stays on after shut off

fans are designed to run on after you shut engine down as engine temperature rise after switching off . running hot could be caused by the top hose having gone soft when you rev the engine the water pump sucks the hose flat stopping the coolant flow or the radiator is blocked and need flushing out

there must be a blockage in the crank case vent /pipe, probably, you could try tightening the fuel tank cap a bit more after filling up , i know this sounds a bit dodgy but you could have a weak seal and the EVAP system is recording emission to atmosphere , otherwise get the OBD CODES READ TO SEE IF THERE IS A FAULTY SENSOR/SWITCH

Runs good for a while then shuts off acts like it is running hot at times but when i check it is not hot rebuilt engine new radiator water pump thermostat also at times act like it is not getting gas but...

In the early 80s they incorporated a shutoff solenoid in the event of overheating. What happens is when the engine reaches a critical level it then opens a vacuum solenoid forcing the engine to stall to prevent it causing extreme damage. I am not sure its location on your vehicle but when it happens again, try clamping off some vacuum lines on the solenoids to find out which one clamped will the car start. hope this takes care of things. ps...change your fuel filter, It may be restricting your fuel.

My 2003 Mazda tribute wont start when car is warm after being shut off for ten minutes. Has happened twice now, what is wrong? Will start after cooling down as if nothings wrong.

There can be a number of things to look at. the coolant temp sensor or the fuel pump. the coolant sensor tell the ECU when hot or cold, and it can be telling the ECU the motor is to hot. the fuel pump could be over heating and shutting off

My 1986 volkswagen jetta won't stay running and i think it has something to do with the throttle body or injectors, when i start it, it stays running for 4 to 5 seconds then shuts off how do i fix this...

normally you will find if you replace the filters it should solve the prob although if it does not then fuel pump acumulator valve might be faulty or vacuum hose to it leaking ( located on the end of the fuel rail to injectors)
