WHEN DRIVING ALONG THE MOTOR DIES COME UP TO A STOP LIGHT OR SIGN MOTOR DIES. TOOK OUT CAT. COVERTER, CHANGED NEW FUEL FILTER. TODAY I TOOK THE CAR TO CAR X AND HAD THEM PUT IN A NEW CRANK CASE SENSOR. STILL THE SAME. THEY RUN A DIANOSTIC TEST THEY DON'T NO WHAT IT IS. COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME ON SOME OTHER ANSWERS.THAT I MAY LOOK FOR.I WANT TO THANK YOU FOR THIS E-MAIL. JOHN

I would seriously have a cat put back on you need that back pressure and have the O2 sensors replaced. Sounds like it may be time for a major tune up

Check all vacumn lines under the hood on the 3800 motor...follow the throttle cable to the fender and secure all vacumn lines...Hope this helps.

My 1993 buick park ave stalls when stopped at red lights
When was last "healthy" tune up? Plugs, wires, ALL filters including FUEL filter? I'd start there, and run a good fuel system cleaner w/next tank full of fuel. In winter, with fluctuating temps, condensation (water) forms in fuel tank and spark plugs don't burn fuel/water efficiently causing stumbling and premature wear on your plugs.

the motor may bolt up - the fuel line connections - throttle body wire connections and other wire connections will probably not connect - the main difference is on the top side from heads up on the 2 motors - the design change was for 1996 cars
