Changing interior bulbs on 2001 Dakota

Get you a small knife or a small flathead screwdriver & put it under the lens, and pop it off. Pull bulb out and carry to autoparts store.

pops on pops off from front to back not side to side pry gently as the clips are cheap.

when your prying on the clips move the headlight around and it poops right out

On the upper grill side of the headlight assy. there
should be 1 or 2 push pins that hold the seal on the
headlight assy to the front of the fender. Also check
for a guide/push pin on the inner top of the assy on
the outer fender side. That should be all there is to
hold the headlight in place. Hope this helps.

I just took mine out and it looks like it has burned out, and even the plastic holder has black on it like it was on fire!! Just take a thin small flat head screwdriver and sort of pry the plastic lens cover off. Be careful, as you could break it. Just pull down on it and it comes loose. You turn the light bulb housing counter clock-wise and it releases. Pull the bulb out.
