Radio volume went out after a popping sound in the rear. It turns on and I can hear it but very faintly.

The amplifier is in the rear. The manual does not list a code for the fuse and I don't know where the circuit breaker is. Can you help?

If your car has premium sound it will have a power amp in the boot, it is a common problem for this to fail and burn out all 4 door speakers and leave only the little tweeters working. that is why you can just hear it, you can check if this has happend by removing one door panel and check the speaker resistance using a ohm meter. hope this helps.

If power is more than speakers can handle this will happen. If you have a amplifier in the rear than all it is a fuse or a circuit breaker needs to be reset

The factory radio in my 2001 Chevy suburban only has sound on AM radio. When turned to FM the sound is really faint and it will not turn up.

Check the aerial lead behind the unit and also the connection of the rear window. Did you wipe the rear window lately? AM has a built in aerial, FM needs an antenna. Or you may have a roof mounted aerial.

Static popping and buzzing sounds come from the speakers when the car is running. The Radio is not turned on and it will continue for a long time, quit then start again as you are driving.

Is it a factory amplified system? Could be the volume knob. Might try unplugging the radio for test purposes and see if it still pops and buzzes to get a better idea of where to go next
