I have a 05 Ford e350 that just lost reverse drives fine just no reverse any ideas thanks

Take it to an auto electrician. My guess is the ECU is ruined. You need proper diagnostics by someone with experience of vehicles affected by reversed polarity. The alternator also needs testing.

run the fault codes and look for problem reverse servo/ solenoid or TCM failure

start by checking plugs and wires then if it stills does that check your timming

Needs new Friction discs, more pressure is applied in 1 and 2(low) so its catching enough to move. But in drive just does not have enough. If the torque converter failed usually it will still move just incredibly slow like your starting off in 3rd

what do you mean by no engagement? check for fuses, fusible links, and relays.

Need purge the system for air inside!!!!

On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced

In 9 out of 10 cases when I see this problem in the ranger, it is the planetary gear in the transmission. It is made of the cheapest metal available. It breaks usually from going to park before the truck stops or switching from reverse to drive while still rolling. Just a Idea , But I hope it isn't that . Reverse will work fine for a while, and have no forward gears.
