SOURCE: REMOVING MY FRONT SEATS FROM MY 95 NISSAN MAXIMA

There are 4 bolts holding the seat to the floor. 2 in front and 2 in rear. You will need 14mm socket and ratchet or wrench. You will also have to unplug some connectors under the seat, before you take it out of the car.

SOURCE: speedometer not working

If the speedo is the only thing that is not working then it has a defective stepper motor, that is the little motor that moves the needle, it can be repaired, most of the cost is removing the speedo and re-installing it, so if u can do that u will save allot of green, ask the dealer for the name and phone number of the company that fixes there speedo's, don't go through the dealer, they will 2X the repair bill, go directly to the repair station.

SOURCE: 95 maxima hard to start

Remove the high tension cable to the distributor from the ignition unit. Conduct a spark test. If there's no spark, try to replace the ignition coil or the igniter.

Is there an OBD1 readear for a 95 Nissan Maxima?

In rare cases your 1995 Maxima might use OBD2 but it is probably a OBD1. You could try an OBD1 reader but unfortunately OBD1 was not anywhere as useful for diagnostics as the OBD2.

My 95 Nissan Maxima has trouble starting in cold have to press on gas to get it to start

I suspect you may not have enough fuel pressure.Fuel injection requires very high pressure to start car and by pumping the gas pedal the car is flooding itself and that let's it start.

I recently had my 95 maxima diagnose for a problem, they said the problem was my speed sensor. where would that be located?

Usually on the end of the transmission. You have 2 sensors back there, one for the speedometer and the other the speed sensor. If you buy the new part, you will be able to tell which is which when you get under there. This is most cars, yours could be different, the parts store should be able to show you where it goes. Hope this helps.

Would it be worth to fix a 95 nissan maxima with a cracked head gasket and 97 thousand miles on it

That depends completely on you. It's going to be $400-600 at most shops, but a Nissan of that generation has another 100,000 miles left easily. I'd do it. If you can do it yourself it's even better, but whether you keep it or fix it for sale, based on my experience with Nissan, it'd be a no-brainer. I'd fix it.

95 nissan maxima runs rough

i would change the knock sensor first. if that doesn't fix the problem then a complete tune up would be the next step. but if the sensor has no resistance that is where i would start
