Do you want to figure out how to figure yours out. a 20 year old car nothing is going to be average. to get it better lose some weight in the car. meaning don't carry 500 lbs of stuff you don't need. the less it weights the less the engine has to work which saves gas use. fill your tank normal till the pump shuts off and don't pull the handle to add more fuel. then write down the mileage. drive the car 200 miles. fill the tank again the same way. then figure out the miles you drove and how much gas you put in the tank. if you drove 200 miles and used 10 gallons you get 20 miles to the gallon. doing a tune up and checking your air in the tires can increase the mileage. good idea to check it first before doing the tune up to show it did some good. I did a tune up once and got almost 5 more miles to the gallon after

1996 ,rav 4 's ECU ,is re-programmed or not?

The Engine Control Unit (ECU) in a 1996 Toyota RAV4 is not reprogrammable, but can be replaced with a new or remanufactured unit. However, if your RAV4's fuel consumption is high, it is likely due to other issues, such as a dirty air filter, a faulty oxygen sensor, a clogged fuel injector, or a worn spark plug. You should have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic to determine the cause of the high fuel consumption.

What sort of fuel consumption can i expect from a 2006 Toyota Prado 4LT petrol 6 speed manual

best at 10 liters per 100 klms , average around 12 liters /100 klms
fuel consumption depends largely on load , speed , operating conditions , towing, highway/city, off road so an exacting answer is not possible as it all depends on the operator and the driving skills

Good morning, I have a pickup of 96 rav4 4x4 2.0 cc engine 3S-FE, 5-door and let me know what type of spark plugs to use please, and their consumption of gasoline per gallon thank you very much for the...

Personally i donot think you need to put the four point plugs in your car. That would just increase your fuel consumption a bit as it would be burning more fuel to give u the advance pickup. You really donot need that.Put single point Champion plugs, they are really good. Then Bosch, Denso or NGK come in line.get the distributor rotor clean so that strong current goes to the plugs and its all set.On average the SUVs the size of your car would give 7kms on a litre petrol in an average traffic city drive with Air conditioner switched on.You can convert that into milage per gallon.Milage generally increaes by 25-30% without the airconditioner.

The car is a 1996 ford taurus gl wagon. it ran but then would die and now won't start.the diagnostic said it was fuel. so how do you replace the fuel pump?

You replace the fuel pump by dropping the
gas tank down and out of the car
The pump removes from the top

What diagnoses said it failed?
Just a fuel pressure test, nothing else?

My Ford Taurus 1997 GL spends 17 - 18 liters of gas on City drive, A/C is on. Is it normal.

well, according to site www,fueleconomy.gov, the fuel consumption for a 1997 Ford Taurus is 18mpg for city driving, 25 mpg for highway and 21mpg combined....so you are running at an average, and for this age of vehicle, i think very good

I am having a Toyata Premio F 2007 and Fuel consumption is about 6Km per litre . How can I reduce the fuel consumption rate.

only use the first third of the gas peddle
use premium grade fuel(computer controlled engine will adjust for better fuel quality)
TURN OFF THE A/C uses about 25% of your fuel.
sorry to say this, but next time buy a smaller engine/body car (in england, if it dont do more than 45 mpg,as an average, the residual value is pants...)
