If you mean P2098 read on, Po 2098 is not a vaild code, all codes for OBD2 have one letter (P, B, etc.) and four numbers 0-9.

2004 x-type 3.0 v6 152,000 miles showed codes P0171, P0174, P2096, P2098, P0101, P0171 pd, P1000.

check for vacuum leaks or a faulty mass air flow sensor. all the codes have to do with engine too lean(too much air).

This would refer to the "down stream" sensor, which would be past the catalytic convertor. You may also have an exhaust leak near the cat, contaminated fuel or maybe even low fuel pressure.
