I'm Assuming that the engine is not misfiring but just a bog or a pause under acceleration. If so quite possible the TPS (throttle position sensor) is faulty. Then maybe airflow sender?

SOURCE: 1993 Ford Tuarus Gl IN NEED OF HELP!

Well this could be in your timing. As cars get some miles on them the timing chain stretches therefore causing you car to lose alot of power. So you may want to have your timing set on this car. Also I had a taurus that had a bad torque converter, and it lost alot of power on hills and under loads, also when i gunned the gas pedal. so try the timing first. Hopefully you dont have a bad head gasket or a cracked head these symptoms you are describing are all signs of head gaskets or blown heads

SOURCE: 99 F250 V10 Sputtering

It takes just one of the coil on Plug units to cause sputtering and severe shaking. Fortunately the prices have dropped slightly for the coil units. The bad news is it is still close to 100 bucks from the Ford dealers. I have had to replace 3 of these on my 1999 F250 superduty V-10 since I bought it new. I believe there may be some compatible aftermarket units out there for high performance V-8 engines, but can not confirm compatibility.

SOURCE: 1996 Ford F-350 460 gas engine. Stalls while going

I'd check the manual transfer valve on the dash. They have a tendency to go bad after awhile. Cause 1000 different symptoms, and be the last thing checked/replaced. It's probably the cheapest place to start. The pump under the driver's feet is usually the last one to go in my experience, but the secondary culprit is normally the main pump in the rear tank.

Next time it tries to stall, toggle the fuel switch and see what happens. Same with a hard start. Back and forth a few times quickly.

Hope this helps.

2008 Suzuki xl7 changed both fuel pumps because it was running rough with sputtering and would not pick up speed.

If your 2008 Suzuki XL7 was running rough with sputtering and would not pick up speed, and you have already changed both fuel pumps, then there may be other possible causes for the issue. Here are a few things you can check:
  1. Check the fuel filter: If the fuel filter is clogged or dirty, it can cause fuel flow problems and result in similar symptoms. Try replacing the fuel filter to see if it helps.
  2. Check the fuel pressure: Use a fuel pressure gauge to check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail. If the pressure is low, it could indicate a problem with the fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors, or other components.
  3. Check the spark plugs: Worn or fouled spark plugs can cause misfires and rough running. Try replacing the spark plugs to see if it helps.
  4. Check the air filter: A dirty air filter can restrict airflow to the engine and cause poor performance. Try replacing the air filter if it's dirty.
  5. Check for vacuum leaks: Leaks in the vacuum system can cause rough running and poor acceleration. Check all vacuum hoses and connections for leaks or damage.
If none of these solutions work, there may be other underlying issues with the engine or other components that require further diagnosis by a mechanic.

96 toyota tacoma 4 cylinder manual loses power and sputters when the gas is pressed down hard. I can keep it going fine at slower speeds, but when the truck approaches a hill or if I try to accelerate...

Most likely just a dirty fuel filter. You may have got a load of contaminated fuel. Why not try that first as it won't cost much.
Keep a spare with you as you might require another until the bad fuel is used up.(if a new filter is the cure)

It seems to me you may have a very lean air/fuel mixture so when you open the throttle for more air there is no corresponding fuel coming to give you enough power.
My first port of call would be the fuel filter. It may be clogged as you rightly point out. If there is no engine check light on that will iliminate the sensors. I'm sure you would have noticed fuel leaks though what would seem like very high fuel consumption so what remain is the pump.

Some garages may have a fuel pressure gauge to check the pressure but it's a lot cheaper just to replace the fuel pump. The old pump may sometimes have intermittent failure which a pressure gauge may not pick up.

After fueling my 2006 Chrsler 300 C Hemi it sputters and dies

most likely problem is a bad fuel pump. Filters can be in tank or anywhere from the tank to the engine compartment depending on manufacturer and model. You put in new filters when you put in a new pump. UNLESS YOU ARE REAL HANDY AND HAVE THE TOOLS and a manual, fuel pressure tester etc, leave this to a real mechanic. Some tanks have to be drained and dropped , some have access panels in the top under the back seat.

Your fuel filter should be on mounted to the frame rail on the drivers side. It could be the fuel filter if it hasnt been changed in a long time or the vehicle sat for a while. Might also want to look into checking your Mass Airflow Sensor and for any vacuum leaks.

Ford Puma Cuts out...

There are 2 things that can go wrong one cheap and the other around $100-200. The first problem could be the fuel filter if it is getting plugged up it wont allow the fuel to flow through to your engine sufficiently, but at faster speed it will still allow the fuel to flow enough. The other problem could be the fuel pump, this is the more expenive route. This will have the same effect on a car as the fuel filter. If I were you I would try replacing the fuel filter first to see if that made a change, this should only cost you around $5-20.
