Very detailed and car specific. There are at least three ways to do it. One is to take the injectors out of the truck and use a fuel injector solvent to clean them. Another way is to use a fuel additive to clean your injectors pour in your tank and off you go (do it at every oil change) Another way is to hook your car up to a fuel injection cleaning machine. It essentially by passes your gas tank and connects directly to your injectors to clean them with your engine running.

Your question about Cars & Trucks has been posted. my 2001 ford f150 triton 5.4 v8 is running sluggish and sounds like its making a knocking noise from front drivers side and acts like it wants to start...

Check engine codes to see if you have a cylinder or two missfiring. Possible rocker arm problem. Bad rod bearings allowing the piston to contact the head. Stuck fuel injectors causing the engine to be flooded and hydrolocking the engine. Bad harmonic balancer.

MY F150 IS NOT STARTING ,it just roling over. Also i check fuses, reset the fuel pump switch& i checked the spark plug wires and they are firing well. But it will not started it a 1998 v8 triton.

one more thing you can do is find a fuel pressure gauge and check the fuel pressure..if no pressure ..you need a fuel pump..very common in the f150...hope this was very helpful...

Exhaust smoke at start up

It means that the system is running rich, in other words too much fuel.

Try checking your air filter--make sure it is not dirty. Also check for a plugged air intake hose. Enough air is not getting into your cylinders for the proper air-fuel ratio.

If it has carb, the carb float is too high or sunk.
