1996 jeep grand Cherokee starting problem. Turn ignition switch on - no fuel gauge, volt meter and no primary coil voltage. Move switch on and off multiple times then gauges work and it will start.

The most likely fault is a bad ignition switch. The electrical portion of your ignition switch has probably failed...well, only part time failure, jiggling the switch on and off will cause it to make contact again. Everything you say that doesn't work, should be working just by turning the key to on.
Are you looking beyond the switch for something not triggering? Don't make it too complicated: switch on, and the pcm should be powered up (along with dash gauges being on and the check engine light is on.) That means you should now see that voltage at the ASD relay, as it is now "on" and power is going to the coil and to the injection system. Your switch is the only thing tying everything together. If it doesn't work, nothing else works. This sure sounds like the electrical portion of the switch, not the lock cylinder portion, but examine carefully. Some ignitions have a metal rod from the lock cylinder to the electrical portion where the rod moves a sliding bar across different electrical contacts. Sometimes this mechanical linkage can foul up and cause switch problems.

96 jeep grand Cherokee has no power to fuel pump or ignition

define power.
1: can't hear buzz?
2: fuel pressure at the fuel rail is zero PSI cranked.
3: my volt meter tells me the pump has 0vdc across the pump pins cranked?

I cant guess any of this and is 100 %^ Germain.

2003 jeep grand cherokee will not turn over

Constant 12-volt power is applied through 40 A FUSE 8 in the power distribution center (PDC) to the engine starter motor relay and through 40A fuse 14 to the ignition switch. If the park/neutral position switch is connected to ground, turning the ignition switch to START causes 12 volts to pass through 10A fuse 31 in the junction block and the engine starter motor relay coil to close the relay and apply 12 volts to the starter. Any of the parts mentioned could be open or defective.

I would make sure you have voltage to the coil. Could be a fuse or relay problem. Is the check engine light on when you turn the key on ?

check make sure plugs sparking which is controlled by coil packs which could be faulty, very unlikely all injectors or coil packs faulty, start at basics check all fuses and engine ecm works injectors and only once car immobilizer has told engine ecm that key ok.

Jeep wont start.

while someone is cranking over the engine listen under the rear of the truck at the gas tank for the fuel pump. is it buzzing ? if not try again while cranking with a Rubber Hammer tapping on the center of the gas tank, if it starts you will need a fuel pump.
good luck chris

1993 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO- TRUCK WONT

OK...I have a 93 outside...one diagram I have shows an ignition module next to coil...but there is none on mine, (4.0 engine)
Two items to check are crank sensor and cam sensor inside distributor. Test procedure can be found in just about any manual including haynes.
You will need a decent volt/ohm meter to do testing. You can also check codes by turning ignition switch on/off three times, leaving it on the third time. Check engine will flash code #'s (ex: one flash, pause two flashes= the number twelve.then followed by a longer pause then another set of flashes etc.)
