Most likely it is the heater control valve that shifts air from blowing across your heater core to your air conditioner core.
If your fan works and your car is fairly new..meaning your heater core isn't dirty and full of craap...then it is the climate cotrol valve.
If you are lucky, it might be a thermostat that is bad and blocking hot water from entering your heater core. Bottom line, if hot water doesn't circulate thru that little heater core, you won't get heat.
You might be able to look under the hood and grab the hot water lines that go thru the firewall and feed your heater core. If they feel cold to the touch after engine has warmed up, then you aren't getting circulating water to the heater core. If they feel nice and warm, then the heater core is fine, but your climate control valve has closed off the fan that blows across the core to disperse heat into the cabin
Check that your cabin air ducting does not have disconnects and verify the fan is blowing air through the cooling condenser coil. Something may have fallen down through the windshield defroster slots and jammed the fan.
OK, check the two tubes that enter the firewall for the heater core. If they are cold or not getting hot as the engine gets hot, then the heater core is plugged up. It may be flushed out, or it may be replaced to fix that problem.
If the two tubes are hot, then there is a blend door problem caused by a bad vacuum motor that is not allowing hot air to reach the cabin with the fan on.
If your LS is blowing hot air on one side of the dash and cold on the other the problem most likely is the Dual Coolant Control Valve. The DCCV is used to control cabin temperature. This valve is mounted down low on the passenger side of the radiator fan shroud, and has 3 coolant hoses connected to it. This valve if found to be faulty will need to be replaced to correct the condition.
