What is the trick to reattach a 2008 s80 rear view mirror. It has a metal spring that snaps over what looks like a nut on the windshield.

There are 3 common ways to fix a windscreen mirror. Glue, 'grub' screw or clip. Check to see if yours has a tiny screw on the mirror that needs winding out. If no screw it is possibly a spring clip mount.
BE CAREFUL, If you are too rough you will shatter the windscreen and they are NOT cheap.
Hold the mirror arm flat against the glass above the windscreen mount. It should slide over the glass mount. The clip is a strong spring so it will be a tight fit. Try using a strap and pull down flat against the windscreen. it might resist then suddenly snap into place so Be Careful.

How can I attach a baby mirror to see my baby?

I assume that you want to see while driving, I use a suction cup backed mirror stuck to the windscreen to one side of the rear view mirror. If your child is in a rearwards facing seat you would need two mirrors one at the front and one towards the rear of the car. Hope this helps.

Bumped the interior rear view mirror and the mirror section has detached from the base which is still stuck to the windscreen. It does not seem to easily reattach to the base.

There should be a small allen screw on the "windscreen" clip. Back it out, attach mirror and then tighten it back up.

Good Luck

My rear view mirror has some fluid in it. I was trying to get it off and the support on the windscreen came unstuck. I want to re stick it, what should I use?

The parts store has a small kit to reattach mirrors. It needs a special glue. Go to the parts store and ask for a rear view mirror glue on kit.

Fitting rear view mirror

Hi you can buy little double sided pads to do this but make sure the cab is warm when you fit it.

Alternatively superglue but you will need to hold it in position and tape it up to dry, Pads are the better option. let me know if you need a stockist and I will post you the link.
