Sounds like you have a shorted wire causing a drain. I recommend disconnecting the alarm all together which should stop the short so battery can remain fully charged.

it may be your alternator that is draining your battery and causing problems. I have replaced my alternator two years in a row on my 2003 Corolla...also having other electrical problems with the radio and cd player. I have been reading where this is a common problem :(
Have you checked the charge on the battery? How bout your connections at the terminals. Vw are very sensitve to voltage drops. You might even have something thats draining your battery

Your GM product has a safety alarm, it shuts down the radio , or locks it. I send ours to a GM dealer to get it unlocked. They don't give those codes out.
this is a simple troubleshooting issue....first go buy the mechanics manual from the auto store then go with the little stuff first try all your fuses battery cables and relays then flip your inertia switch and alternator maybe its not charging and the batteries dead if that doesnt work take it to them dirty guys with all those expensive tools but flip the inertia switch first sounds like an electrical problem
