My jeep won't start...when I turn the key it clicks but won't turn over. Got the battery tested and it's good...all interior lights, radio, horn, etc... works. What could it be?
Could be the starter..
Try ---
( at the same time when turning the key to start )
give the starter a few whacks with a small hammer..
Takes 2 people..
If it turns - or turns slow - let me know..
Check the starter seolonoid, sometimes it clicks that way indicating worn contacts. Have it replace.
I had the same problem with a 1993 Cherokee Country. Powerful battery, everything else worked, but it would not start. If it sat overnight it would often start the next morning, but if I turned it off before the engine was fully warm. it would not budge. No jumping it off or anything. The problem? The Neutral Safety Switch. Once that was replaced, no more starting problems.
Timing is off or you arent getting air spar or fuel check those out....
