I have a 1994 Jeep Cherokee Ltd Edition. Recently the headlights kept flashing off and on, and then sometimes there is a strange noise around the pullout switch or under the dashboard. Not sure what's causing it. It started when I turned the high beam on (it happened around the same time I went over a speed hump so don't know if that also affected something)... Sometimes it looks like one headlight globe is not working but then it works again. I had a similar problem about a month ago but that time the low beam was still working. Paid an auto electrician to change the switch with a 2nd hand part and now a month later I have this problem. Not sure if it's connected or something different again.

had the same problem on my 92....check under the hood on the drivers side, towards the front, there is a "junction box" with all of the lighting wires connecting from the switches to the lights. My wires were all corroded inside,so I cleaned the ends and bought a new box from the local electronic supply store. The problem has not come back.
Cheers

try taking your tilt steering(steeringwheel) and check which setting its on if the tilt steering is all the way down click it up to the next setting and then try your low beams if that still doesn't work try it one more click up you might have a short or pinched wire in your wheel colum

I would look at replacing the headlight switch(junkyard will save you money)!
Hope this sheds some light on it!

Can you turn on the cab lights using the interior switch? If not, you most likely accidently disconnected the interior lights control dimmer/switch. If you can turn the lights with the switch then you accidently disconnected them or the jostling caused the bulbs to go out.
