There is also a box inside the radio compartment area where the radio mounts that has the door open / key in ignition alarm. If someone unplugged this to disable the annoying ding ding ding; it will also disable the wipers. I wouldn't want to tell on myself but I guess I just did.

Check for blown fuses or go outside and turn the wiper on and see if you can hear the wipers trying to move.  The bushings under the wiper arm might be stripped or not properly aligned.  You might have a short somewhere also.  Electrical problems can get expensive.

sounds like a loose nut. there are nuts that hold the wiper arms on, they may be under a cover but theyre at the base of the wiper arm. also there's a nut that holds the wiper linkage onto the wiper motor. if you can move the wipers independently, it's the nuts connecting the wiper arms.if you move one arm and the other moves with it, it's the nut holding the linkage to the motor.

Our 2012 Ford Escape rear wiper motor and washer fluid stopped working .

Did you check fuse's & relays ?
Rear Window Wiper Operation
The rear wiper motor is controlled by the SJB. The SJB supplies power to the rear wiper motor from the integrated rear wiper relay. The SJB will activate the relay when all of the following conditions are met:
  • Ignition switch is in the ON position
  • Liftgate glass and liftgate are closed
  • Multi-function switch is in the ON or intermittent position
The SJB also supplies voltage to the rear wiper motor from SJB fuse 21 (15A) when the ignition switch is in the ON position. This power feed is used to continue the wipe cycle when the multi-function switch is turned to the OFF position. The SJB receives inputs from the multi-function switch that applies ground to the low speed wipe input or applies ground to the intermittent wipe input. When either of these circuits are grounded, the SJB activates the integrated rear wiper relay and power is supplied to the rear wiper motor to move the rear wiper motor from the park position. An internal switch in the rear wiper motor then moves to the run position which connects the accessory relay power to the rear wiper motor. When the rear wiper motor returns to the park position, the internal switch in the rear wiper motor moves back to the park position. If the multi-function switch is in the ON position, the rear wiper relay is still activated, power is supplied to the rear wiper motor, and the wipe cycle starts again. If the multi-function switch is in the intermittent position, the rear wiper relay does not activate until the predetermined dwell time has elapsed, at which time the SJB activates the rear wiper relay and the wipe cycle starts again. The SJB is the smart junction box .(computer )

Rear Washer System
The SJB supplies power to the rear washer pump from fuse 21 (15A) when the ignition switch is in the ON or ACC position. The rear washer pump receives ground from the multi-function switch when the wash function is turned ON. The multi-function switch also signals the SJB when the rear wash is activated and the SJB then activates the rear wiper.

Ford escape 2006 rear wiper innoperative

Do you know how these wipers Work / what controls them ? Do you know what a smart junction box is ?
Rear Window Wiper Operation
The rear wiper motor is controlled by the SJB. The SJB supplies power to the rear wiper motor from the integrated rear wiper relay. The SJB will activate the relay when all of the following conditions are met:
  • Ignition switch is in the ON position
  • Liftgate glass and liftgate are closed
  • Multifunction switch is in the ON or INTERMITTENT position
The SJB also supplies voltage to the rear wiper motor from SJB fuse 21 (10A) when the ignition switch is in the ON position. This power feed is used to continue the wipe cycle when the multifunction switch is turned to the OFF position. The SJB receives inputs from the multifunction switch that applies ground to the low speed wipe input or applies ground to the intermittent wipe input. If the multifunction switch is in the ON position, the rear wiper relay is still activated, power is supplied to the rear wiper motor, and the wipe cycle starts again. If the multifunction switch is in the INTERMITTENT position, the rear wiper relay does not activate until the predetermined dwell time has elapsed, at which time the SJB activates the rear wiper relay and the wipe cycle starts again.

Do you know what DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are ?
Smart Junction Box (SJB) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index DTC Description Source Action B1244 Wiper Rear Motor Run Relay Coil Circuit Failure SJB If the rear wiper is inoperative, Go To Pinpoint Test B . If the rear wiper is always ON, Go To Pinpoint Test D . B1245 Wiper Rear Motor Run Relay Coil Circuit Short to Battery SJB Go To Pinpoint Test B . Did you have it checked for DTC'S ?

2005 ford escape wiper and washer has no power. cant hear it engage when on but was working a week ago. how can i troubleshoot it and find the fuse

Hi Justin , Do you know what a SJB - smart junction box is and where it is located on you escape ?
Windshield Wiper Operation
The smart junction box (SJB) supplies power to the multifunction switch from the SJB fuse 25 (20A) when the ignition switch is in the ON or ACC position. The multifunction switch supplies power to the windshield wiper motor for the HIGH or LOW/INTERMITTENT input, depending on the multifunction switch position selected. The SJB also supplies power directly to the windshield wiper motor from fuse 25 (20A) when the ignition switch is in the ON or ACC position for RUN/PARK operation. When the multifunction switch is in the LOW, HIGH, or INTERMITTENT position, power is supplied to the windshield wiper motor, which moves the wipers off the park position. Once the wipers are off the park position, an internal switch in the windshield wiper motor switches to the run/park position which directs power to the wiper switch then back to the wiper motor. This maintains power to the windshield wiper motor to complete the wipe cycle. When the cycle is complete, the internal switch in the windshield wiper motor switches back to the park position. If the multifunction switch is in the LOW or HIGH position, power is supplied from the multifunction switch and another wipe cycle starts. If the multifunction switch is in the INTERMITTENT position, the windshield wipers remain parked until the internal relay in the multifunction switch supplies power to the windshield wiper motor. The internal relay supplies power after a time delay that is determined by the 1 of 9 intermittent switch settings.

My 2006 Ford Taurus wipers only work on high were have replaced the switch and motor still only works on high

Did you do any testing before you replaced anything? With key on, wipers on low speed, does the white wire, at wiper motor, have voltage? Use a test light or voltmeter. You could back-probe the connector. If there is proper voltage, I can't see how it could be anything but the motor, I know you said you replaced it.
If there is no voltage, have to check wiring circuit and back-track.

I have a 2007 mustang an the wipers wont turn off I had 2 pull the fuse to turn them off can u help me

The windshield wiper motor is a smart wiper motor with an integrated electronics module. The internal components of the motor are the high/low relay, washer pump relay, and the run/park relay and associated electronics.
The windshield wiper motor receives its inputs from the windshield wiper/washer switch. These signals are ground reference signals. When the switch is placed in different positions, various input signals are selected and sent through circuits to the motor. The windshield wiper motor module identifies these selected input signals and activates the motor to the selected function.!
Your probably going to need a new wiper motor ! ! ! But you should always test before replacing parts !
