05 grand prix starts and cuts off. If turn the key on for sec and start it it will run

is this a supper cahrged grand prix if so check fuel pump resistor located behind right front head light or on fire wall its made of white ceramic has to wires going to it jump the two wire on the connection going to it if it runs longer then 15 min then replace resiustor.

To get the remote start going again, I remembered a time when my Explorer phob would not open the doors automatically, I was told to insert the key and toggle it from off to "run" (not starting it, but having the radio and lights come on) position about 4 - 5 times to reset it. I tried that with the car, and it worked!!

It should be located on the outside of the frame rail,forward of the right front tire. It should look like a ceramic type ballist with a pigtail and one bolt holding it on. If the pigtail has a connector dont forget to check for water, rust, etc. also check for wire damage. It should be the culprit though since by jumping the relay you are in theroy bypassing the resistor. This situation is called "Torque Lock". The Solution is simply to Turn the Steering Wheel Slightly in the Opposite Direction to remove Pressure on the Steering Lock Pawl. Usually this occurs when turning off the Key while Pressure is Applied to the Steering Wheel from a slight "Roll-Back" or from the Power Steering being forced all the way to it's limit in one direction or the other. Always be sure that the Steering is allowed to relax prior to switching the Ignition Switch to the Locked Position. This is a very common problem most frequently experienced by women rather than men.
