Two things and easy to check before you do anything else.1) Check for Fuel-if fuel come to engine( fuel pump is working or not ? ) . 2) Check whether electric power is available on ignition coil and distributor. Please do check these things first and if you have no luck come back in to help again. Wish you good luck.
If you ran out of gas you may need to bleed the injectors for air in the line. You can find the bleeder valve on the fuel Rail. It looks like a tire valve stem. Have someone start or ttry to start the motor over while you hold it down to see if any air is comeing out. Continue to hold untill all the air is out and nothing but fuel is flowing. By this time the engine should be running.
Well, look for spark, if you have it to the plugs, verified, then try having someone pound on the low spot of the fuel tank. while you try to start. Sometimes this will allow a fuel pump to restart. If that does it, replace the pump soon, it is pricey.
was the battery charged prior to replacing alt if it wasn't battery possible still to low/weak to start vehicle alt charges battery and also runs accessories / battery starts vehicle if it wasnt charged vehicle wont start if battery is charged check conections for loose or damaged
Is it poping back threw the intake or exhaust? if so it could of jumped time, the massair flow sensor will cause it to run really bad as well. You need to test fuel pressure and replace fuel fliter then try it again if fuel pump pressuer does not pump to 40 PSI and hold for 40 seconds then the check valve in the pump is bad ad you will have to replace the fuel pump and sock. let me know about the back firing first.
