What's wrong with the oil pressure (guage?) on my 2000 Trooper? It goes from 100 to zero, back and forth, but mostly near zero. Car runs great.

When oil is cool (when first starting car) good oil pressure. then guage goes to zero, then up to 85, back to zero, back and forth. Crazy!

CHANGED MY OIL BECAUSE GAGE WAS READING LOW OIL PRESSURE AND I HAD NO OIL LIFE, TRIED TO RESET OIL LIFE TO 100%, WHICH I DID BUT ON MY DASH ITS STILL READING LOW OIL PRESSURE AND THE GAGE GOES BACK AND...

you either have a faulty oil pressure switch or you have poor oil pressure.if you find the oil pressure switch remove it and install a manuel oil pressure guage there. then you will see if it is the actual oil pressure weak or if it is the switch.

High oil pressure on guage. It goes to zero with engine off. Where is the sensor?

High oil pressure is ok, lack of pressure if the engine is running, is very bad. Pressure is supposed to drop to zero as soon as you turn off the engine, nothing abnormal about that.

2002 2.5l no oil pressure on gauge. Runs fine...no

You better put a manual gauge on your engine and make sure you have oil pressure. Could just be a faulty gauge or sending unit but I sure as heck would be checking it with a manual gauge.
