you either have a faulty oil pressure switch or you have poor oil pressure.if you find the oil pressure switch remove it and install a manuel oil pressure guage there. then you will see if it is the actual oil pressure weak or if it is the switch.
High oil pressure is ok, lack of pressure if the engine is running, is very bad. Pressure is supposed to drop to zero as soon as you turn off the engine, nothing abnormal about that.
You better put a manual gauge on your engine and make sure you have oil pressure. Could just be a faulty gauge or sending unit but I sure as heck would be checking it with a manual gauge.
