SOURCE: where is my fuel filter 2001 nissan altima

Most of the time there is an inlet screen/filter in fuel tank attached to fuel pump. But there should be another filter between tank and fuel rail. it should be located on the firewall, so if you work backward from an injector toward the gas tank you will bump right in to the filter along the way.

My son has a 2001 Altima. All of the lights, radio, PW, etc.. work. It barely makes a clicking sound when trying to start. Could this be some sort of module?

Check the power to the start first off. If your getting plenty of juice I would look at a bad starter. If you haven't done that already.

you can not see the starter on your vehicle from the top. you need to get under the car to see it. its right above the r/h (passenger) side axle, where the axle is going into the trans. this starter is also not that easy to replace for a novice or someone that does not work on cars. good luck.

Nissan Altima 2000 Manual. Recently had remote starter installed and was working fine for a few days. This morning I remote started the vehicle and when I came out car was off. Try starting the car up...

the remote starter is not going to damage the starter, but if wired wrong it could damage the wiring or fuses, or run the battery down from a short.

Trying to locate the starter

The starter is to the left of center near the right trans-axle. You cannot see the starter from the top of the motor. Thanks. On older model cars The starter motor on the Nissan Altima is located on the front of the engine and can be changed from the top of the engine compartment.---------- Thanks.

Finding and changing the starter in a 2001 nissan altima

YOU dont want to change your starter motor untill you no for sure its your problem you must be 100% other wise you are throughing away money.....You dont say why you think it is the S/Motor but try jump starting the car with another car or battery and make sure you get the jumper leads correct..// Red lead to poss + term and then put Black to Neg terms- and try starting if it spins then the battery is faulty ..//if not and still no go then turn on head lights and try starting and if lights go out then its either battery or bad connection on either battery or feed wire on starter or black one on to engine earthlead not getting a good earth..
Or you could have a bad solinoid on the starter then its starter out but untill then try every thing else..
Let me know how you get on. Ron

Hard to start when cold

it is not good to use the remote start every time you start the car, this can cause some major damage to the starter, i suggest replacing the starter and then telling her to start the car manually unless absolutly needed to use the keypad.

remote start is made to use once daily in the morning, so your not gettitng in a cold car, not for eccesive use.
