I have a 2010 Cadillac CTS. My ABS light and Traction Control light are one. Readout is to Service Brake Assist, Service Stabilitrak AND Service Traction Control. Is there any way to check the codes without a scanner?

• How you see what is wrong is by hooking up a scan tool an checking for stored DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . If the lights are on codes are stored pointing in the right diagnostic procedure .

With those light's illuminated DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's are stored in the EBCM - electronic brake control module . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop that has the diagnostic test equipment an knowledge to fix it.

Low brake fluid level could cause that. Bad ABS wheel sensor. Brake switch. Go to Autozone and ask them to put the scanner on and see what codes you're getting.

I have a 08 cts all my service stabiltrak all wheel drive off and traction control off. I changed the battery and alternator as well as plugs and pulleys. Codes were off for short time driving like 3 mins and all back on. Anyone have idea were I go now?

Changing brake pads and rotors will not solve this problem. Go to Auto Zone and have them read your computer for ABS codes and then you can zero in on the problem.

check the wires to the sender units on the front wheels are not broken or loose . The ABS and the stable track use the same sender units . Check that the wheel bearings are serviceable and adjusted properly as this will allow the rotor to touch the sender unit if they are loose.

need to get abs codes read. it will tell you what wheel to look at.
1.bad wheel bearing, sensor is part of bearing.
2.broken wires to sensor.
