sure you can. its the 5sp, and 5th is not a gear but a lockup on the main shaft, 1:1 lockeup and uses synchro ,for that, so if you can double clutch into 4th, then all is well, just a broken syncrho ring, if not ? then the shifter forks a are not allowing 4th gear to engage, can you shift to forth parked? yes, 'no/? there are many reasons. need to drive it, and in 1 minute, id have the answser, manual boxes are very easy to diagnose and fix. done many. you do know there are lots of good used boxes, right? most last for life of car, and will if the owners keep fresh lube in them.
edit 4th i not a gear, 5th is OD. 4th is main shaft lockup,. 1:1
cant shift ever? to 4th,. even attempting to move car from stop i 4th , just a moment , dont burn up clutch but feel the gear? huh? then can you shift to 4th with rear end on jackstands, i can go on with lots of test. but will stop here, until you asnswer basics.
