What's going wrong with my 2007 Ford Mustang . I was having a problem with my water pump got it fixed but the antifreeze in my car still bubbles up , and I found a way to get it to stop by running my heat with the AC fan blowing and today it's kinda hot out like a spring day and that didn't work this time it started to bubble up after only driving it for 10 mins

always start small, sounds like the thermostat check that first , if it's stuck closed it can not circulate threw the motor.

If your car is bubbling at the radiator fill area it has more than likely blown a head gasket , if you remove the thermostat temporary just to run to see if this continues , you should be able to see that the water is flowing if it is still bubbling it will be more than likely combustion gas escaping the combustion chamber into the coolant system indicating a problem like head gasket blown

If the vehicle overheated prior to replacing the water pump, it is possible that it damaged the radiator, or the thermostat could be defective.

SOURCE: Water pump problem?

You need to make sure you don’t have an air lock. Find the bleeder valve for the coolant system and release the air. If you can’t find the bleeder, find the highest hose for the coolant system and make sure coolant is flowing through it.

SOURCE: 1998 aurora

I have had this problem with my 98 aurora and have replaced all the same components. Temp gauge routinely shows 200 on highway (Fine) but in the city in stop and go will get to around 245. I installed a switch to manually turn on the cooling fans by connecting the ground to pin 86 in the relay for the fan(s). Otherwise the fans will not turn on to 245. This fix works but would like to know an actual solution.

SOURCE: 96 ford crown vic over heating

it seems you have to seperate issues here. fiirst let's start withtthe over heating. you stated that you have replaced the pump, thermosta, fan, clutch, all the hoses, and core. now my question to you is did you route the belt so it's circulating like it should? is it steaming out from under the hood? to be quite honest the vehicle should not even be close to overheating after driving only 3 miles. there is a possibilty that you have a bad sending unit for the temp if it is not steaming out from under the hood. your upper radiator hose is hot this tells you that the thermostat is operating as it should. the fan should be turning clock wise as you are looking at it from the front of the vehicle.when you fill the system with coolant make sure that you have the heater on high and to the hot setting. check to make open sure you have plenty of coolant and that the radiator is free of dirt and bugs.. now as far as not having anyheat in the vehicle check the fuse for your climate control. look under the dash and make sure you hooked all the cables for your fresh air door and blend door. when you changed the core did you connect the hoses in the right place?after you have checked all the hoses and the coolant is as full as can be and the heat is turned on to max ,keep the radiator cap off and start the vehicle wait for it to get hot check the upper radiator hose to see when the thermo stat opens you should see that the coolant should go down in the radaitor. do these things and check back with me on the results...please rate this help...thanks

SOURCE: 1996 ford contour gets hot , no hot heater or temp guage movement

Is your temperature gauge working now? That is of more concern then your heater as you wouldnt know if your engine was overheating until its too late. Your heater core could be clogged, they get clogged quite easily. You can flush them or replace. The part is inexpensive but on some models you have to take out dash to replace them, but on other models it only takes about 30 mins and a few bolts.

SOURCE: 2001 pt cruiser running hot after changing

Likely it's not a head gasket (yet) You should check your fans to make sure they are coming on properly. check that there are no leaves or debris stuck between the radiator and the a/c condenser and that the radiator is flowing well.
Even though the engine is running well after it gets hot, it is not good for the head gasket and can cause it to fail...take care of the problem asap!!!

I noticed my car running hot while driving so I pulled over to let it cool down and check my antifreeze. My antifreeze was bubbling. Car did cool off and was able to make it home but wondering why it was...

Bubbling means that it was above the boiling point. This is an indication that the antifreeze coolant mixture might be wrong. You should check that first to see if it is 50/50 water (distilled) and antifreeze. If it is not, you should check / change the thermostat. Make sure it is ok and the proper temperature. Check the radiator to see if it is obstructed INSIDE. Check the water pump to make sure the pump impellor is ok. Check the cap on the radiator to make sure it is working ok. (they are rated by pressure) then change the antifreeze coolant. What damage is there in over heating? The engine can blow out a head gasket due to unequal expansion of the metals.

How much antifreeze do I need in a 1998 mustang v6

The cooling capacity for your car with or without AC is 12.6qts or roughly 3 gallons. You typically only need a mixture of about 50% Coolant to 50% water. The antifreeze bottle will have a chart on the back.

What is the problem with: Frozen weather: 97 Ford Escort overflow boiling, there is coolant/antifreeze in radiator and the car started idling VERY fast when at a stop.

Ouch, Worst case sounds like if bubbling you have a head gasket problem. OR a belt broken, so the water pump is not working, or antifreeze mixture is not correct and is like "slush" instead of fluid and cannot cool properly, boiling somewhere in the engine. Idle change sounds like the broken belt or belts problem. Hopefully that all it is. Check and fix soon.

1988 FORD F150 NEW RADIATOR AND THERMOSTAT.

I'm guessing a new engine block is due....
at the temperatures you describe it is very possible that the water inside this cast-iron block is Still rock solid frozen.
I just cannot fathom how come you have no antifreeze in that vehicle in the first place! antifreeze can be had for six bucks a gallon!
if small bubbles come up in the radiator you might have already a cracked cylinder head and compression gases pushing through.
One Last hope you can have is that you got an air pocket in the water cannot circulate. but if it was frozen and you cranked your probably ripped off the water pump rotor blades...

I have a 1989 f 250 truck.i brought it to a machanic and he just said that the tempature is running hot and i dont want to mess any thing up so how do i go by fixing this and what could possible be the...

Hello, That sort of sounds like he did not want to work on your truck because it might take big money to fix it.

Here is how to check a few things. When the engine is warm, not hot, take off the Radiator cap and use a flashlight and look at the water inside the Radiator. The motor should be running. You should see good flow with antifreeze circulating in the top portion of the radiator. The antifreeze should not have oil or air bubbles on the surface. Just flowing antifreeze.

If the water is flowing, no oil, no air bubbles, then the radiator is not clogged and the head gaskets are probably good. The water pump is probably good if no antifreeze is leaking from it. Try putting in a new water thermostat. Put the radiator cap back on and run the engine and look for collapsed hoses when the engine is running faster.

You can get your radiator cap checked for pressure or just buy a new one. There are some tools for checking Radiator pressure and Autozone,Advance, and Oreillys all have loaner programs. Once you have a new cap, if there is a leak, it will probably show up.

At this point, you have only bought a thermostat and a radiator cap. The rest of the needed repairs will depend on observation of the water flow I mentioned and if these 2 simple things solve your problem. I hope my solution is very helpful to you.
