SOURCE: Heater Blower Motor

Remove the glovebox door, and the under dash cover/trim panel.

Look behind where the glove box was, you will see the heater box

At the bottom of this box, there is a round plate with a wiring connector and 3 screws holding this plate to the heater box.

This plate is the bottom of the heater fan assembly; remove the connector, and the 3 screws. The fan motor will drop staright down. Real easy to do.

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then the cover for the mirror housing should pop off and you just need to remove the bolts holding the mirror on

How do you change the alternator belt on a 2002 toyota avalon xls

There are two bolts on the alternator:
One holds it in position on a rail to adjust belt tension and the other mounts it to a brace. Loosen both of these and angle the alternator to release the belt tension and remove the belt. Put the new one on and reverse your removal technique. You want the belt taut, but not tight. If it squeals when it's running, just adjust the tension to make it a little bit tighter.

matt
