My 1999 saab 95 has been dying while driving the past 2 days. i can pull the P1300, P1549, P0300 codes with a obdii reader. where do i start with fixing this problem

P0171 : System Too Lean (Bank 1), P0300 : Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected, P0340 : Camshaft Position Sensor A - Bank1 Circuit Malfunction. I don't know what P1300 is.

Here is what I could find on it:

P1300 Random Misfire Detected. Catalyst Damaging.

Chances are that the Saab Ignition cassette is failing. You can find them on ebay, I recommend a new one since it is a common failure. Best to put new plugs in it while you are at it.


Easy to change, you just need a T-30 Torx (4 small bolts)
and one electrical connector on top of the engine. Oh and a good spark plug wrench.

go to auto parts store let them run scanner and they can tell u what the problem might be

code p 0300 is random misfires ==causes --low fuel pressure , problem/dirty injectors , plugs , ht leads , ECM vacuum leaks

I have a 1999 Toyota Solara 3.0 my coil on the back side is t getting any power nor the front left side so it's 1 & 2. Brand new wires and coils what else can I do I am running into codes P1300 & P0300

If you tolk about camshaft position sensor-YES.Located on a back side of the engine , next to the gear box.Have metal cover .Use diagnostic equipment to find the problem or code reader.I also had the same problem in my SAAB 95.In 6 monts time I have change two sensors.Made in China

spray fuel into the throttle body and see if it stays running,then if it does ,suspect your fuel pump.
here are some other possibilities,and what you should do is a scan to see what code triggered the check engine light.....iac(idle air controller),throttle position sensor,crank or cam sensor,plugged catalytic converter,defective air flow meter,bad ignition module
