Are any internal distributor parts damaged? Are they all in good working order? If not, something external to the cap is melting the distributor cap, although that item should be able to withstand NORMAL temperature operations under the hood.
SORRY TO SAY YOU NEED CHILTON IMPORT MANUAL OR HAYNES MANUAL. YOU NEED TO LOOK AT HEAD TORQUE SEQUENCE.AND THE TIMING BELT AND CAMSHAFT SPROCKETS CRANKSHAFT TIMING MARKS.YOU HAVE RIGHT MANY THINGS TO REMOVE TO GET CYLINDER HEAD OFF.THATS WHY REPAIR MANUAL WILL BE VERY HELPFUL.
