A simple test is to feel around the carpet in that footwell. See how far up under the dash the carpet is wet. Does it only happen after rain? Do you have a sun roof fitted?
If the carpet is only wet low down on the floor the most likely reason is either a perished or damaged door seal rubber, a faulty sun roof seal or the drain channels for the sun roof are clogged up. Check the footwell in the back as water always flows and settles at the lowest point in the vehicle.
If it is high up and nearest the middle of the dash you issue could be the heater matrix under the dash but as it seems to be only on one side this might not be the issue.
Door seals are a simple case of pull the old one off and push the new one on and they don't cost silly money to buy. Heater matrix issues, unfortunately, usually involve taking the whole dashboard out to get to it.
Hope this helps.
The brake light switch is located on the top of the brake pedal in the vehicle. It is hard to get to unless you are agile and can fit between the drivers seat and under the dash to access it.
it has 2 fuse boxes. one is in the engine bay and the one you want is under the dash, left of the steering wheel. you will need fine needle nose pliers, a light and your glasses.
Use the covers in the fuse boxes and replace the dome light fuse, there is a rule all the components inside the car are powered by the fuses inside the car. All the systems in the engine are powered by the engine fuse box.
when you say Heat stopped working you mean the blower stopped working or it started blowing just cold air. 2 very different situations. based on everything else I assume you mean you basically lost power to your dashboard. You need to check the fuses under the hood and for shorts. If all is good you will need to take it to a mech to have it checked as the only other thing that is common to all these problems is the ECM.
You may have one of the most common issues...sometimes, by accident, the dimmer control on the left side of the dash gets turned down; it is the little wheel at the far left of the instrument panel. Try turning it up, see if that fixes your problem; we see this issue quite often in my service department.
