When should the coolant fan come on in my ford windstar 2000

Water pump fins are worn . Not moving enough coolant at idle .

Sounds like you have overheated the engine.

DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS FROM THE FAN MOTORS, YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE TWO FAN SHROUD BOLTS AND LIFT OUT THE FAN SHROUD AS A ASSEMBLY,THE BOTTOM OF THE FAN SHROUD HAS TWO PROJECTIONS THAT FIT INTO TABS ON THE RADIATOR.

1 and a half if bone dry.

YOU NEED 12.1 QUARTS. THATS ABOUT 3 GALLONS

Notorious problem with coolant leaking @ the intake manifold. Have the cooling system pressure tested to locate source.

THAT'S NORMAL IF THE AIR CON IS FITTED AND SWITCHED ON, IF AIR CON NOT ON OR NOT FITTED WITH AIR CON THE THE FAN RELAY OR THE SWITCH ON RAD IS SHORTED

Thermostat needs replacement.

the tensioner for the serpentine belt may be worn or seized. have the belt put back on and when this is done you will be able to tell how much tension is on it.
