On the drivers side the floor vent will get so hot that it feels like you leg is burning up, while your left foot is frozen. So if you change the setting to floor & vents or floor and defrost, they both start as hot but the vents/defrost start blowing cold air. Could there be a vent on the drivers floor that's not opening?
Most likely leak in one or more of the vacuum lines and or out door air damper not closing

the resister block needs changing... oddly enough i'm unsure of what fan you are saying is not working.... if it's the front.. the resister block is located on the duct work under the dash for the air... near the fan... you will see a connector going into the side of the duct work. two screws and the block comes out... should be fairly obvious for the rear one but it will be near the fan.

you need to change drivers side temp door actuator then disconnect battery for 5 seconds and reconnect after changing the part, turn key on for 60 seconds with touching heater control to allow actuator to program and then it will work.

Probably the left temp actuator. The wires in the right I/P junction block could have poor tension also, but it's usually the temp actuator.
