What is the C0265 error code

The ABS EBCM anti-lock brake module is failing causing problems with the ABS pump running constantly, also will drain your battery.

Remove the ABS fuse to prevent ABS motor burn out.
You can still drive your vehicle with the module removed.
We recommend covering the exposed surface of the hydraulic control unit with aluminum foil to keep out water and dirt.

Common Failures:

ABS Pump Always Running
Codes: C0265, C0267, C0268
Pump Motor Circuit trouble code
Power Relay trouble code
Valve Relay Trouble code
Dump Valves (solenoids) trouble codes
No Communication
Intermediate power loss

Speedometer on my 2000 gmc Sierra is going haywire, along with ABS light on and transmission is shifting weird. All happened at the same time

Could be the speed sensor on the transmission.
Is the check engine light on ? Have you checked for trouble codes for the ABS ?

2001 gmc sierra abs and brake light

i think one of the disc's are bend or uneven or bearings are worn-out, because of that after running for a distance the brake fluid in the circuit develops back pressure. as if braking from disc end.check the above and see.

After sitting in garage unused for 2 weeks 2008 gmc sierra 2wd starts fine, but ABS light stays on, in D clunks into gear then check engine light came on. 18000 miles. had no issues when parked

That is really low mileage for issues but clunking into gear is a symptom of a bad universal joint on your drive shaft. Does it clunk in D and R?

When your abs comes on then it's usually signaling you for new brakes or rotors. If you know you don't need new ones then it may be a fuse.

Where is the ABS computer located on a 2001 GMC Sierra?

If you look at the master cylinder under the hood on the drivers side,you should see an aluminum box near the brake reservoir,that is the controller that you need to deal with.

the ECBM is BAD. Take out the fuse labeled ABS or ECBM ,Check out ABSFIXER.COM.

I think you might be low on brake fluid. If not then you might need a brake fluid flush.

If you have recently bought new tires and the size is larger or smaller than the stock tire size, it will throw off the ABS as the computer thinks the tire is not running at the correct programmed rpm in relation to the overall truck speed. Check with a local tire shop to have it checked.

1995 GMC Sierra Z71 ABS light stays on

yo man, idk if this is exactly what your problem is but my 1991 gmc sierra was doing the same fuckin thing and ****, and i took it to the gm dealer and had them look at it and my connectors and my ignition switchs were fried, also my truck was having a problem shitfing once those went but i also had that problem, perhaps yours is somehwta liek that as well... hope i could help

Wheel speed sensors misadjusted, damaged , or metal shavings and other debree, since they are magnetic can give false readings from one of the wheel circuits. Over sized tires can give of false speed readings as well. there are many other causes including bad relay, control module, e.t.c. It is best to have the proper scan tool to diagnose an ABS problem
