SOURCE: How do I locazte/replace the air filter in my 2004 Buick Rainier

Hi. the air filter is in a cylindrical looking device that is connected to the intake throttle body, via plastic flex hose. it runs horizontal. you will have to un clip the plastic housing and extract the filter. i will post a picture below.

The fact that it came on right way means that the code was correct and you jumped the gun in replacing the part. You've got a CIRCUIT issue, ie a wiring problem

2004 rainier egr valve location

Well, we have a couple problems here.

First of all, 2005 Buick Rainier is equipped with two different engines, 4.2L (VIN code "S") and the 5.3L (VIN code "P"). It would be really nice to know which one we are talking about.

Then, it doesn't really matter which engine your Buick is equipped with if you are looking for an EGR valve, because NEITHER of these engines is equipped with one.

I suggest scanned the PCM to know what fault code is stored there; note and with this code number we could send you additional details to solve it.

Keep in touch.
