How dop i get my 2000 dodge caravan to start, it would start and die emmediatly, now it wont start at all but theres a clicking in the relay box

check the wires running to the fuse box under the hood on the left side to see if the have been burning

It might be your fuel filter. Also, Dodge and Chrysler is bad for fuel pump failures. A clogged fuel filter can cause this. Also, you might not be getting enough fuel pressure. There should be a test port on the van, where you can test the gas pressure. You also have a fuel pump relay or switch. This could be bad as well. Hope this helps you.

Had a caravan that sat idle for a couple of months. When I put a battery in it and tried starting it the asd relay started clicking like a stopwatch and wouldn't stop until the battery was disconnected. Plugged in a code reader and it would start and run as long as it was plugged in, unplug the reader and it would die. Turned out to be corrosion on the secondary ground wire where it bolts onto the negative battery terminal.

Look under the hood - there should be a box by the battery. under there is the main engine fuses and relays. There should be a diagram under the cover

hello i am trying to find where is the shut down relay loation on my 2000 caravan since it does not have the fuse box cover

Have the alternator checked.

the cooling fan relay is not in the fuse box.

it is a solid state relay bolted to the radiator core support just behind the bumper

I'd take a close look at the relays under the hood, in the fuse/relay box, i think on yours probably on drivers side near shock tower. Look close at connections to it also.

sounds like engine is hydrolocked (cylinders full of water)
