SOURCE: Mazda MPV Coolant Loss (but no overheat)

i had the same thing on my wifes 2000 mpv van...the ends of the radiator are made of some sort of composite type material....it had a slight crack in it....wasn't obvious until it got worse and started streaming water from it when warmed up....even after it cooled enough not to be spewing it was hard to actually see the crack though a few inches long....was hard to even see where the water and antifreeze mixture was coming from until i took out the radiator

SOURCE: coolant fan on my 1998 mazda 626 is not working

Unplug the plug that lives on the side of your radiator and take a small wire and jumper the two wires in this two conductor plug. If the coolant fan turns on, you probably have a bad thermo switch (the thing the plug was plugged into on the radiator) and needs to be replaced. I assume you've idled the car until it starts to boil, noticing that the fan never comes on. If this is the case, that is your solution. Good luck.

1996 mazda 626 overheats after shur off and sometimes driving. no smoke

sounds like a restricted radiator.. the thermostat has 2 x jobs to maintain the temperature and to restrict the flow-so by removing the thermostat you actually went backwards- meaning the coolant will flow to fast thru the radiator and will not have time to be cooled down prior to returning to the engine block. since your heater helps to cool it down my guess(educated) would be a restricted radiator..

How to remove headlight cover to replace bulb. My granddaughter recently purchased a 1999 Mazda 626 We do not know how to remove the outer glass to replace the bulb.

lift up hood First, remove the two bolts that hold the intake in place. Then move the intake off to the side. Then you have to pull back the rubber hood from the light. After that you use a pair of pliers to unhook a clip that holds the bulb in the mount. 1998-2002, for the right side you have to, remove the coolant reservoir with a phillips head screwdriver. be carefull when handling the bulb, hold it by the base. if oil gets on bulb it will shorten its life. do not touch glass with hands. good-day !

Fuel filter location for 1995 Mazda 626

The fuel filter is attached to a bracket located in the left rear of the engine compartment. Look down in the space between the master cylinder fluid reservoir and the rear of the air filter compartment, you will be looking at the top of the fuel filter cannister. It's very hard to get at.
