1985 nissan 300zx starts but no dash lights come on until i rev it up very high up to almost 6000rps sometimes more what could cause this

It's down in the driver's kick panel next to the dead pedal where you rest your left foot. The cover for the fuse panel faces the center of the car.

time to get a voltmeter set it on dc volts and check your complete brake light harness for volage a good point to check is the brake switch . also make sure that your brake lights are grounded as more often than not it's the ground that is suspect. good luck

Running lights in front sides of vehicle short out in time. I simply disconnected the plugs found inside the front wheel wells and packed them with grease for time being. When the weather improves I will find the chaffed insulation and repair. Replaced the 15amp fuse found under the hood and shwing, back on the road.

I have a Nissan 300zx twin turbo 1990.... The engine and car are in very good condition ... well serviced... The idle speed will not go below 2000 rpm can you help as there is no manual adjustment...????
