SOURCE: starter

you will have to replace the starter. I recommend a rebuilt starter from most any auto parts store.

SOURCE: 1997 plymouth grand voyager cruise control problems

Try doing a "Brain Kill" on the van. Disconnect both battery terminals, and (MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE BATTERY!!!!!) touch and hold them together for at least 10 seconds. Mopars hold onto their faults, even after the repairs. Huge problem for transmission shops, but that's another topic. My 99 Dakota had the Speed Sensor fail, and it wouldn't shift until I "Killed" the ECM and BCM's memories.

Good Luck!!!

Your check engine light must be on. To pull up your codes Put your key into ignition and turn key ON,OFF,ON,OFF and finally ON.The codes will show on your dash. From what you described it seems to me you may have a bad CRANKSHAFT SENSOR and MAF SENSOR. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

I have a 1997 plymouth grand voyager. When I turn on my air conditioner, I do not receive any cold air only hot air.I used to receive cold out a couple of months ago but even then it would only blow c

The likely cause is a bad compressor clutch, but there are other possible causes. The first thing to do is to observe the compressor with the engine running. The clutch is inside the pulley. When the a/c is off, the pulley turns on thr belt, but the clutch does not turn. When the a/c is turned on, the clutch should lock on the pulley and turn with it. Run this test and post the result here.

1998 Plymouth grand voyager ignition won't turn

I have had this happen on my 98 Voyager. Just have a new key cut. This new key will sometimes cure the problem. The older keys get worn out and won't unlock the ignition. Try this before a much more expensive and time consuming change of the ignition.

1997 Grand Voyager overheating

check the fan control sensor in the intake manifold. that is usually the problem. also, if the engine cooling fan does not come on when you turn on the air cond, that is a dead giveaway that the fan sensor is bad.
