I doubt they did a 'tune up' at all. you only replace a fuel pump when it has failed. And fortunately for them, you can't see if it has been changed because it is inside the fuel tank. As my old dad used to say "they saw you coming", meaning you got fleeced because you are female. Put this on your car, leave it there. It talks to your smartphone and you can even reset codes. The Catalytic converter one is not critical, but the overheating is.
lots of reasons. 4.0: (i owned same car) engine stalls! are usually caused by misfiring. (low engine power) and that in fact has over 50 causes, I'll not waste your time making guesses)
get car serviced ever get a full tuneup this decade? (new spark plugs and filters is good bet) no car on earth runs for life of engine, not tuned up. like spark plugs. or air filter packed in dead bugs, etc.
if tuned up! and engine compression is good? vacuum steady. and not misfiring, but is bogging (low engine power! only!) is 1:low fuel pressure. 2:cat converter melted. 3:map dead. 4: injectors clogged 5: bad fuel. (simple tests for each)
Most of the times is just an air leak from a vaccum hose. Also since the code its for only cylinder #6 I would suggest to take a look at the coil pack. They do go bad and it will affect your cat converter reading due to the fact that gas is not being burned on that cylinder. I hope this helps!
its could be the fuel pump, if its going bad then it could be causing stall and a gas hose could be bad to and is only allowing a little gas to motor causing it to stall also
this sounds like a bad sparkplug wires or a coil pack, i would start with a tune up first and go from there, the most common problem of this sort i see is the car is in need of a tune up, some times it ends up also needing a coil pack, the coil pack is the part that the sparkplug wire hook to.
I would pull the sparkplugs and examine. Are they Black? ,Wet?, Hot?, Cold? Also whenever you change the plugs change the wires (cap and rotor if app.).Cracked wires are hard to see but can cause spark to find ground before it gets to sparkplug.8 year old car how many full tune ups?.Good Luck.
