2001 Nissan Pathfinder will start but will not stay running codes that come up are p0171 p0505?

Run an OBD code scanner or lookup what the code means. Don't always rely on the codes though.. they can be a red herring.

The service manual usually has information on the codes http://onlyrepairmanuals.com/downloads/nissan-pathfinder-repair-manual-1995-2005/

Diagnostic code p1441 and p1406 fir 96 camaro WHATS THAT MEAN

Here's the description for the DTC P1406: The PCM monitors the EGR valve pintle position input to ensure that the valve responds properly to commands from the PCM and to detect a malfunction if the pintle position sensor and control circuits are open or shorted. If the PCM detects a pintle position signal voltage outside the normal range of the pintle position sensor, or a signal voltage that is not within a tolerance considered acceptable for proper EGR system operation, the PCM will set DTC P1406.

That means there is possibly a problem within the EGR valve itself, or a wiring/connector related to the EGR valve. Having a scan tool to command the EGR valve and watch the data would be extremely helpful in diagnosing this code.

Here's the description for DTC P1441:
The EVAP vacuum switch is a normally closed switch positioned in the purge line between the canister and the EVAP purge valve. The EVAP vacuum switch will open when vacuum increases to greater than 5 inches of water (in H2O) in the purge line. The PCM monitors the EVAP vacuum switch signal to determine if the evaporative emission control system is working properly. If the switch is open (purge flow detected) when the PCM is not commanding the EVAP purge valve ON, DTC P1441 will be set.

Again, this code would be best diagnosed with a scan tool that can command the purge valve and allow you to watch the data related to it. Check your vacuum lines and electrical connections to the purge vacuum switch. If the vacuum switch is unplugged this code can set.

I got a Error Code P1441 Definition EVAP System Flow During Non-Purge Conditions Possible Causes: EVAP purge valve, purge pipe, or the charcoal canister has a temporary blockage (this fault could...

P1442 usually gas cap. P1449 usually vent solenoid. P1441 usually always a faulty FTP sensor. Very problematic to Malibu, Grand Am Cavaliers and Aleros. That would be my first area to check. They are also known for poor wiring connections at the Left rear passthru connector to the fuel tank and vent solenoid, but not necessarily for that code.

How do I reset the service engine soon indicator of a 2007 nisssan pathfinder

The Service Engine Soon indicator light tells the Service tech that the Pathfinder's ECM detected and Issue with the engine's management system. Your going to have to get the Pathfinder Scanned for DTC codes so you can addressed the issues that is in the ECM's history. Once the issues have been addressed, the Service engine light will reset it self or the service tech can reset it for you. The light will stay on or come back if the issues have not been repaired. Good luck and hope this helps.
