It can be one of 2 things. The temperature control sensor is bad. Or the fan itself has a broken wire or open circuit.
Request an OBII code from Autozone or other parts store. They give it free. It will give a "trouble" or PO Code that will help you determine what you have to do.
It depends on what size your engine is . 4 cylinder or 6 determines the location and or what type of fan control or temperature sensor it has.
Follow the upper rad hose to the thermostat housing. It will be there. There are two, one is the ECT (engine coolant temperature SENSOR) and the other is the temperature SENDING UNIT (input for temp. gauge ONLY).
You can look up the recommended spark plugs for your vehicle in the owners handbook. If it is not available, you can go to the various spark plug manufacturers Websites (Champion, Bosch, NGK, KLG) enter your vehicle particulars and be provided with the correct type.
Try putting some Injector Cleaner (from the auto parts store or gas station) into your fuel tank to see if that helps with the rough running. Follow the instructions on the bottle.
the problem may be the temperature sensor or the gauge itself, it is most likely easier to replace the sensor than the gauge....hope this helps.......cheers
If they look like a smaller version of your front brakes where you can see the disc (should be shiny on the side of the disc where the pad touches the rotor) then you have disk brakes.
If it's all black, or all kinda of rusted looking and all you see is a "cap" over everything behind the rim, then it'll be a drum...
95% of the zx3's have drums only 5% of zx3's had discs. The ones that have disc brakes, also came with traction control as part of the package.
a loose or damaged wire is causing a short circuit!
