It can be only mechanical obstruction - and that meant money... check if crank is straight, check if pistons move freely...

2012 chrysler 200 touring water pump replaced, started up, turned off now will not start. PLEASE HELP

posted 3 times ,why?
I'm sure coolant was not fully burped out as all noobs do wrong.
and is not good for any engine with upper jackets day ever.

again the word cranks not stated, turns over means zero
the starter must crank and the engine spins crank shaft and engine starts and runs not stall.
Is the IMMO lamp glowing wrong??????? dash lamp theft, IMMO
is the lightning bolt LAMP glowing,.oops,if yes. TBW hard failure
no idea mean what connectors pulled for a water pump.

why not just have 1 post for one car one job W_pump.
P2173
P2173-HIGH AIRFLOW/VACUUM LEAK DETECTED (SLOW ACCUMULATION) means (most times) vacuum hoses not put back or done wrong.
it is vacuum leak it means the MAP sensor reads wrong
and it did not before the job so is now. hoses wrongv.

nobody here can guess what you touched to do this job.
it be like ESP to the MAX

stop using the word turns over,
use crank, starts, and runs or stalls.
all parts there turn, so turns means nothing lacking the 2nd noun
starter motor spins (turns)
the engine crank shaft seen to spin and turns
some say (omg wild) turns over mean firing and running, no that is RUNNING. and sustained.
is the key start position causes the starter motor so make loud GRRRRRGRRRR sound , then good, or not bad.
if the starter does work then then cranks and runs.

i answered 2 posts on topic,
all I have are questions. blind and deaf.

I replaced tensioner and guide on timing chain for my 04 maxima. And while the tensioner was off I rotated the motor and only the crank turned how do I get bank one and two in sync with crank?

If you have ANY doubts about doing this PAY someone to do it!! You will need to reset all of your mechanical timing. This is one of those jobs where if you get it wrong it will be a VERY expensive repair! This is an 'interference' engine meaning pistons will hit valves if the timing is wrong.
I would seriously recommend you buy a good workshop manual and read it through at least three or four times BEFORE you try this.
First find ALL of the timing marks on the Cams, Crank and the Chain. You will need to move each Cam and the Crank to line up the timing marks EXACTLY. You might need to turn the Crank to NO MORE than an eighth of a turn past Top Dead Centre, (clockwise). This gives clearance to turn the Cams. Line up your Cam timing marks.
Turn the Crank Back, (counter clockwise), NO MORE than the original eighth of a turn back to Top Dead Centre. Re-check ALL of your timing marks!
Mount the timing chain and set the chain tensioner. RE-CHECK all of your timing marks again. By hand turn the crank CLOCKWISE 2 full rotations. The timing marks should line up again.

Do they off colored links on the timing chain match up every revolution with the timing marks on the timing gear

no --- the revolutions of the cam shaft is set to half the numbers of the crank shaft so that means that you will have to turn the crank 2 full turns to get the links to line up again

Rebuils 4M40 motor now do not turn manually, still turned full revolution before head was installed. now that the head is on, it does not want to turn full revolution.

The cam shaft and crank shaft are not in the correct positions and the pistons are hitting the valves. Make sure that the mechanical timing is set correctly. If it is then there is something that fell into a cylinder when it was being assembled,

Finding out how to find lost cam timing mark on a 1997 volvo 960

you are in a bit of a bind. Turning the engine over will result in bent valves so do not touch the crank shaft. you have to loose off all the rockers/ cam followers even to the point of removing the cam shaft. having done that remove no1 cylinder spark plug and by the use of a thin piece of wire turn the crank until the piston reaches top dead center. find this by rocking the crank back and forward until the piston dose'n move up or down check for the crank timing mark next replace the cam shaft and position the cam lobes for no1 piston in such a position that the inlet and exhaust valves move slightly up or down when the cam is moved slightly left or right. this is called valve over lap and with the piston on top dead center means that you now have valve timing for the engine. Cam timing marks can be dot on gear to shiny link on chain or if using a belt a dot on tooth lineing up with mould mark or join on head before starting up do a compression check to prove that there are no bent valves. if you are not mechanically minded enough to attempt the valve timing method it may be cheaper in the long term to let a qualified person do the job

1994 Volvo 940 Station Wagon timing belt

I hope you've solved the problem by now, but there are alignment marks on the crank shaft (top pulley), idler (lower side), and cam shaft (smaller, bottom pulley) which should be aligned with stationary marks on the timing belt rear cover.

The belt has marks that align with the aforementioned marks (lines). The double marks on the belt align with the camshaft marks and the single marks with the others.

Loosen the tensioner clamp (nut) to allow the spring loaded tensioner to press on the belt and retighten the nut.

Rotate the crank shaft (clockwise, probably two revolutions) and make sure the pulley marks realign to the marks on the cover (they don't have to realign with the marks on the belt).

Rotate the crank shaft a full revolution once the belt is on and check that alignment is preserved.

Periodically loosen and retension the tensioner nut (access through a hole in the cover) to ensure that tension is maintained as the belt relaxes.

1992 Firebird not starting

If it is backfiring the firing order is not correct. turn the crank until the timing mark lines up to zero on the timing cover. Remove the distributor cap, and see where the rotor button is pointed. It should be pointed at number 1. (at this point you have a 50/50 chance) The cam turns half the speed of the crank shaft, this means that even through cylinder number one is at top dead center, it might be on the exhaust stroke instead of compression stroke. If this is the case, you will need to turn the crank shaft one full revolution, and try again.

Reinstall the distributor cap with plug wire number one being placed where the rotor button is pointed. Install the rest of the plug wires in order.
